For the first time in three years, Microsoft is worth more than Alphabet. At the close of trading on May 29, the software giant's market capitalization stood at $753 billion. Google's parent company was valued at $742 billion at that time. Apple, however, is leading the race for the title of "World's Most Valuable Company." The iPhone manufacturer is also by far the most promising candidate when it comes to reaching the trillion-dollar mark – though it's currently "only" at a little over $920 billion.
