Germany's households are becoming increasingly smarter

Germany is getting smarter. This is shown by data from the Statista Digital Market Outlook. According to this, at least one smart home application is currently in use in 6.1 million households-their number should increase to 13.5 million by 2023. The most common are devices from the “Networking and Control” category. These include smart loudspeakers (Amazon Echo, Google Home etc.), central control and communication units (gateways/hubs), programmable control buttons (e.g. wall buttons, rotary knobs) as well as socket inserts for on or off non-smart devices.
