Amazon has nothing to report in China

In the West, Amazon is the undisputed number 1. In China, however, the online giant from Seattle is a dwarf. This emerges from current figures from the market research company eMarketer. Although Amazon has been active in the Middle Kingdom since 2004, the company only has a market share of 0.7 percent there. By far the largest provider is Alibaba (58.2 percent), ahead of JD.com (16.3 percent). The latter now also wants to expand into Europe and Germany. “For me it’s no longer just about selling products from Germany to China. I also want to sell products in Europe,” says company founder Richard Liu.
