The annual Apple event in September will be followed by another launch event on October 30th in New York dedicated to the rest of the product range. Under the slogan "There's more in the making," the company is set to unveil several new devices on Tuesday, with the MacBook line and iPad Pro among the safest bets for a facelift.
The iPad in particular could be extensively revised this year in order to adapt the design to the latest iPhone models - this means, among other things, no more home button and the elimination of the 3.5 millimeter jack connection for headphones.
The iPad is still the best-selling tablet in the world, even if it has lost its magic in recent years, as the graphic shows. Sales have declined four years in a row since 2013, partly due to longer upgrade cycles than Apple mobile phones. In addition, the rise of phablets slowed the strong growth in the tablet market.
