For parking spaces and other sealed development areas
In Vienna, company and private photovoltaic systems that are installed on buildings, structures or business areas (excluding green areas) are subsidized. Appropriate proof of the type of attachment must be attached to the application.
Systems installed in green areas are not eligible for funding. This excludes systems that are built as part of citizen participation models.
The Vienna PV flying roof funding is aimed at the construction of
- Photovoltaic systems on flying roofs and thus
- Photovoltaic systems that are used as shading devices for parking spaces and other sealed development areas are supported.
The aim is to build roofs with photovoltaics
The aim is to support the construction of roofs with photovoltaics on undeveloped parts of the property that are intended for parking, maneuvering, storage and manipulation areas and are not designed for gardening, and other areas that have already been paved and sealed.
Areas that have already been sealed should be given dual use
Funding is provided for newly installed PV systems on newly constructed rooftops in Vienna, which are operated in parallel with the grid and have at least 800 full-load hours per year. A flying roof in the sense of the funding is an independent roof structure that rests only on supports or whose covered space is open on at least 3 sides. Only systems that are built on existing sealed areas can be funded.
