Rack storage – Storage and racking systems – Automatic storage and retrieval systems

A storage and retrieval machine (SRM), also known as a stacker crane or STM, is a rail-guided, single-track vehicle used to handle goods in a high-bay warehouse. The height of an SRM starts at approximately 6 meters and extends to a maximum height of 46 meters. Some SRMs can serve the entire warehouse via a switching system (curve-traveling SRMs for lower throughput), while others use a transfer unit to change aisles, and still others operate only in a single aisle (aisle-bound SRMs for high throughput). The degree of automation ranges from manual to fully automated, depending on the application.

Top Ten Mechanical Engineering: Largest German mechanical engineering companies and plant engineering companies

Germany is one of the most important mechanical engineering countries on the international market. Only China and the USA recently generated higher sales in the sector. After a decline during the financial crisis of 2008/2009, sales in the German mechanical engineering sector have increased steadily again – most recently reaching around 229 billion euros.
Within the mechanical engineering sector, the most important sectors are machine tools, drive technology and conveyor systems, measured by annual turnover.
Regarding developments in international trade, the mechanical engineering sector is strongly export-oriented. Germany's export ratio has fluctuated between 74 and 80 percent in recent years. Among the most important countries for German machinery exports are the USA, China, and France
The mechanical and plant engineering sector in Germany is among the highest-grossing and most innovative industries. Since 2011, the sector's revenues have consistently exceeded €200 billion. Over one million people are employed in the German mechanical engineering industry. The export value of German mechanical engineering products far surpasses the import value. Germany's most important export markets include the USA, China, France, and Italy.

Plan photovoltaics for warehouses, commercial halls and industrial halls

Whether flat roof or pitched roof, all without roof penetrations.
Politicians are getting serious; the new climate protection law, the centerpiece of the Green Deal , is driving measures and developments forward. Legal regulations requiring photovoltaic systems for new commercial buildings are already in effect in some German states.
What does "roof penetration-free" mean?
With roof-penetration-free photovoltaic roof mounting, no holes need to be drilled through the roof or any other interventions made. Sloping gable and shed roofs covered with bitumen or membrane roofing could previously only be installed with great difficulty or at very high cost without roof penetration.
With the METIS mounting system from T.Werk, photovoltaic projects can easily be implemented even on these roofs. A wind assessment conducted by the IFI Institute in Aachen allowed the necessary ballasting to be reduced to a minimum.

Top Ten Industrial Automation Engineering: Largest automation technology companies worldwide
Automation techniques involve the skills to design, create, develop and manage machines and systems, e.g. factory automation, process automation and warehouse automation (e.g. buffer storage ).
Automation technology is the integration of standard engineering elements. It involves the automatic control of various control systems for the operation of different systems or machines, reducing human effort and time while increasing accuracy. Automation engineers design and maintain electromechanical devices and systems, ranging from high-speed robots to programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Automation describes a broad range of technologies that reduce human intervention in processes. Human intervention is reduced by predefining decision criteria, subprocess relationships, and associated actions – and implementing these specifications in machines.

Top Ten Material Handling Automation: Leading suppliers of intralogistics
Material handling plays a vital role in manufacturing and logistics. Nearly every item in physical commerce is moved on a conveyor belt, forklift, or some other type of material handling equipment within production facilities, warehouses, and retail stores. While material handling is typically required in intralogistics as part of every production worker's job, over 650,000 people in the United States work as dedicated "material handling machine operators," earning a median annual wage of $31,530 (May 2012). These operators use material handling equipment to move various goods in a wide range of industrial environments, including moving building materials to construction sites or transporting goods to and from ships.
