Immer mehr Energie stammt aus Windkraft
Am 15. Juni war der Global Wind Day. Der Aktionstag der Windenergie soll auf die Bedeutung der alternativen Energie für den Umweltschutz aufmerksam machen. In Deutschland hat der Anteil der Windkraft an der Bruttostromerzeugung seit den 1990er Jahren stetig zugenommen.
Wie die Grafik auf Basis von Daten des Bundesverbands der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft (BDEW) zeigt, betrug er im vergangenen Jahr 23,5 Prozent. Seit dem Jahr 2010 hat er sich somit fast vervierfacht. Die meisten Windenergieanlagen stehen in Norddeutschland, unter anderem als Offshore-Anlagen in Nord- und Ostsee.
Im europäischen Vergleich ist Deutschland das Land mit der höchsten Stromerzeugung aus Windenergie, gefolgt von Großbritannien, Spanien und Frankreich. Seit einigen Jahren kommt der Ausbau der Windkraft-Anlagen hierzulande jedoch nur noch schleppend voran. Ein Grund dafür sind lange Genehmigungsverfahren durch Behörden.

June 15 was Global Wind Day. The Wind Energy Action Day aims to draw attention to the importance of alternative energy for environmental protection. In Germany, the share of wind power in gross electricity generation has increased steadily since the 1990s.
As the graph based on data from the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) shows, it amounted to 23.5 percent last year. It has thus almost quadrupled since 2010. Most wind turbines are located in northern Germany, including offshore facilities in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
In a European comparison, Germany is the country with the highest electricity generation from wind energy, followed by Great Britain, Spain and France. For some years now, however, the expansion of wind power plants in this country has been sluggish. One reason for this is long approval procedures by authorities.
