Die Energiewende ist in Deutschland längst beschlossene Sache und der Photovoltaik kommt dabei entscheidende Bedeutung zu. Erfreulich ist, dass sich dies zugleich in einer hohen Akzeptanzrate unter der Bevölkerung widerspiegelt.

Die hohen Zustimmungswerte für regenerative Energien belegt die Studie Naturbewusstsein 2019, die vom Bundesumweltministerium und dem Bundesamt für Naturschutz Ende letzten Jahres durchgeführt wurde. Demnach ist die generelle Zustimmung für die Energiewende in der Bevölkerung groß: 60 Prozent halten sie für richtig, während sie nur von neun Prozent kritisch gesehen wird.
Photovoltaik beliebteste Option
Noch deutlich besser ist die öffentlich Meinung zur Solarenergie. So befürwortet mit 93 Prozent eine breite Mehrheit Photovoltaik-Anlagen auf und an Gebäuden. Unter den Befragten gaben 58 Prozent an, diese Anlagen gut zu finden, während weitere 35 Prozent sie akzeptieren. Damit nimmt die gebäudebasierte Photovoltaik eine Spitzenstellung unter den grünen Möglichkeiten zur Energiegewinnung ein. Im Vergleich zu Offshore-Windkraftanlagen (78 Prozent bewerten sie positiv oder als akzeptabel), ihren an Land befindlichen Pendants (70 Prozent) sowie Biogasanlagen (61 Prozent) liegt die Photovoltaik-Technik somit weit vorne.
Zugleich wird aus der Studie ersichtlich, dass bei Freilandanlagen zur Gewinnung von Solarenergie bei der öffentlichen Akzeptanz noch Nachholbedarf besteht. Diese liegen mit einer Gesamtzustimmung von 61 Prozent im Mittelfeld der Systeme. Hier zeigt sich, dass die Bevölkerung mehrheitlich für Techniken stimmt, die mit relativ schonenden Eingriffen in die Natur auskommen.
Gleichzeitig wird deutlich, dass das Thema nachhaltige Energie inzwischen über alle Bevölkerungsschichten auf Interesse stößt. So ist die allgemeine Zustimmung im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren auch in sozial schwächeren Milieus gestiegen. Das zeigt, dass die Energiewende nicht nur technisch und wirtschaftlich möglich, sondern darüber hinaus auf breiter gesellschaftlicher Basis gewollt ist.

According to the study, the general approval for the energy turnaround is high among the population: 60 percent consider it to be right, while only nine percent view it critically.
Photovoltaics most popular option
Public opinion on solar energy is even better. With 93 percent, a broad majority of people are in favour of photovoltaic systems on and around buildings. Among those surveyed, 58 percent said they liked these systems, while another 35 percent accepted them. Building-based photovoltaics thus occupies a leading position among the green options for energy generation. In comparison to offshore wind turbines (78 percent rated them positively or as acceptable), their onshore counterparts (70 percent) and biogas plants (61 percent), photovoltaic technology is thus far ahead.
At the same time, the study shows that there is still a backlog in public acceptance of ground-mounted solar energy plants. With an overall approval rate of 61 percent, these are in the midfield of the systems. This shows that the majority of the population votes in favour of technologies that can manage with relatively gentle interventions in nature.
At the same time, it is clear that the topic of sustainable energy is now attracting interest from all sections of the population. Compared to previous years, general approval has increased even in socially weaker milieus. This shows that energy system transformation is not only technically and economically feasible, but is also desired by society at large.
