Leaving aside shaving products (pre-shaves, aftershaves, etc.), men use skincare products significantly less often than women. Women have always been the primary target group for skincare products, although men have caught up somewhat in recent years. According to a population survey by Allensbach, day cream is among the cosmetic products that a majority of women in Germany use weekly. Two out of five also use a night cream. Another consumer survey, which inquired about products used monthly, shows that hand and day creams, as well as body milks and lotions, are used by 75 to over 80 percent of the women surveyed, and lip balms, as well as night and skin creams, by more than half.

there is a non-binding skin type consultation for men .
When buying skincare cosmetics, brand and price are roughly equally important decision criteria for women, even though brand loyalty is relatively pronounced.
According to the Allensbach Market and Media Analysis (AWA), approximately one in seven men had used a moisturizing cream in the week prior to the survey. The Consumer and Media Analysis (VuMa) indicates that around 50 percent of men use hand cream at least once a week. Skin and face creams are used regularly by about one-third of men.

The global cosmetics market has been growing steadily for years, with growth rates exceeding four percent being quite common. Even during the financial and economic crisis of 2008/2009, the global cosmetics market performed well, growing by one percent. In 2019, the growth rate reached 5.3 percent. A growing market for cosmetics and personal care products is also projected for the future. For example, the global market volume for skincare products is expected to reach approximately US$150 billion by 2025, compared to around US$133 billion in 2019.
Wolfenstein.EU is a new, unconventional blog for men. “Men's World – Authentic and Different.” The idea originated during the Corona pandemic. The concept and implementation were developed between September and November. The blog has been in beta since the beginning of December. Traditional social media strategies are deliberately avoided. This project by Xpert.Digital is also an attempt to reach and pique the interest of potential readers beyond the typical bid & paid mainstream that now dominates social media.
