The European Football Benchmark estimates the Bundesliga's fan potential in England, Spain, Italy, and France at 26 million – nine million of them in Italy alone. Of Europe's top five football leagues, the Premier League (65 million overseas fans) has by far the greatest appeal, followed by the Spanish top flight. The French Ligue 1 has the least appeal (20 million overseas fans)
