A total of 12,717 data points were collected, checked and qualified for the Smart City Index. All 81 cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants were analyzed. The five subject areas of administration, IT and communication, energy and environment, mobility and society and education were examined. These areas are divided into 37 indicators, which consist of a total of 157 parameters - from online citizen services to sharing offers and environmental sensors to broadband availability and digital training for teachers and administrative staff.
