The newest visitor to Mars is called InSight and was sent to the red planet by NASA. Launched on May 5th, the probe has been transmitting signals from the Martian surface since yesterday, where it will study the planet's early geological development. According to NASA , this mission is humanity's 45th attempt to reach Mars. Americans and Russians have made the most attempts, as the infographic shows.
