New iPhones generate less buzz

Apple has invited guests to an event at its headquarters in Cupertino on September 12th. The new iPhone generation will most likely be unveiled at this event. Rumors suggest that all new devices will feature the design of the flagship Model X – which also means that the fingerprint sensor will be completely replaced by Face ID facial recognition. According to Google Trends, search interest in the term "iPhone" spikes before each new release. However, the hype has been even greater in the past, as the Statista graphic shows.
