The internet is, above all, a gigantic entertainment machine. This is confirmed by the latest edition of Sandvine . According to the report, 58 percent of global downstream traffic can be attributed to video streaming. As the graphic shows, Netflix alone is responsible for 15 percent of internet traffic. YouTube (11.4 percent) ranks third among the biggest traffic generators. Amazon Prime (3.7 percent) is in seventh place, just below 1 percent.
