AI Revolution: What do business leaders think about it?

PwC has just presented its annual Global CEO Survey at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The survey of nearly 1,400 business leaders provides insight into the overall business climate, which this year is characterized by a general increase in pessimism, primarily due to trade disputes and political uncertainties. Part of the survey also addresses the impact of artificial intelligence on the world and offers a glimpse into the views of business leaders on this topic.
The vast majority of the latter (63%) believe that the AI revolution will have an even greater impact on the world than the internet revolution, and roughly one in five CEOs is even very convinced of this. On the other hand, business leaders are much more divided regarding the impact of this technology on the labor market. In fact, 41% believe that artificial intelligence will replace more jobs than it can create, while only 49% believe that the opposite effect will occur.
