Commerzbank has to vacate its place in the German stock index at the end of September. Deutsche Börse announced the changes on Wednesday evening. Accordingly, the founding member, the partially nationalized Commerzbank, belongs to the DAX 30 companies and will have to make do with the M-Dax in the future; its place in the DAX will be taken by the payment service Wirecard, which has around 24 billion euros on the stock exchange, more than twice that is worth so much.
As the graphic shows, Commerzbank shareholders have had to accept significant fluctuations in profits over the past ten years. At Wirecard [ Annual Report ], however, things continued to improve. Last year, a Wirecard share brought a profit of 2.10 euros, a Commerzbank share 0.12 euros.
Commerzbank will have to give up its place in the German share index at the end of September. Deutsche Börse announced the changes on Wednesday evening. According to the changes, the founding member, the partly nationalized Commerzbank, will be removed from the DAX 30 companies and will have to do with the M-Dax in future. Its place in the Dax will be taken by the payment service Wirecard, which is worth around 24 billion euros on the stock exchange, more than twice as much.
As the chart shows, Commerzbank shareholders have had to accept significant fluctuations in profits over the past ten years. At Wirecard [ Annual Report ], the trend was towards a continuous upward trend. Last year, one Wirecard share generated a profit of 2.10 euros, one Commerzbank share 0.12 euros.
