For the first time in three years, Microsoft is worth more than Alphabet. As of the market close on May 29, the software giant's market capitalization was $753 billion. At that time, the Google parent company stood at $742 billion. Apple, on the other hand, is ahead in the race for the title of “Most Valuable Company in the World”. The iPhone manufacturer is also by far the most promising candidate when it comes to reaching the trillion dollar mark - but it is still "only" a little more than 920 billion US dollars.
