Logistics consulting, warehouse planning or warehouse consulting – looking for logistics consultants from Bonn, Münster, Mannheim or Karlsruhe?

In addition to urbanization, the supply gaps in rural regions are also the new challenges in logistics. What is important is the speed and flexibility with which the flow of goods can be controlled. There are many interesting approaches for last mile logistics, but a uniform application and an infrastructure of the same kind is still a long time coming. At the same time, there is still the challenge of emission-free, autonomous power supply, which the EU has set for itself with its Green Deal by 2050. A look at Japan can show what is still possible if you only want to. The unified commerce concept is still in its infancy, although everyone is still talking about omnichannel and its possibilities. The power of digital platforms has not yet reached everyone. For many it is simply no longer possible to keep an eye on all developments. The world of logistics has become breathtakingly complex. But complex questions often have surprisingly simple answers.
- We offer organizational and planning ideas through to turnkey solutions.
- If required, we also provide market figures and forecasts for over 150 countries.
There are often surprisingly simple answers to complex questions
Automation is only part of the solution. Structures and management must also be put to the test. But above all, it is important that people do not lose control and overview.
Networked distribution centers – intralogistics 4.0
Technological progress does not stop at intralogistics. Due to the extremely rapid development in the IT sector, new concepts and solutions will be in demand there in the next few years that enable even more efficient handling of ever larger order quantities. But this is just the beginning of a development that will result in Intralogistics 4.0 , whereby we use Intralogistics 4.0 to describe the complete IT networking of storage systems.
Nowadays there are three main factors that significantly influence and accelerate developments in logistics.

Japan is already working on the future of tomorrow
In the 20th century, Japan's demographic development was determined by urbanization. In the 1980s, government policy encouraged the development of new urban structures away from major cities and supported regional centers in attracting young people to live and work there. These cities offered those coming from the surrounding areas a familiar environment, a lower cost of living, shorter commutes and a generally more relaxed lifestyle than in the big cities.
By international standards, the Japanese have a high standard of living and almost 90% of the population consider themselves to be middle class.
Japan is now an urban society where only 5% of the workforce works in agriculture. Many farmers supplement their income with part-time jobs in nearby cities.

Plan a solar and photovoltaic outdoor system or open space system
Do you have a piece of land and don't know how to use it economically?
The more sealed the area, the more ideal for outdoor photovoltaic systems . The less agricultural land that can be used for ecology (low-yield), the more suitable an outdoor solar system is. By the way, there are also interesting combinations of agri-photovoltaics that can be used for both ecology and photovoltaics without negatively affecting natural resources.
ground points are crucial . They are a key figure for evaluating the quality of the soil. As early as 1934, as part of the Reich soil assessment documented in the 'German Soil Map' ( DGK 5 Bo Each federal state regulates itself which areas can be used for agriculture and how many ground points an area can no longer be approved solar park
Sensible use of already sealed areas or properties
Areas that have already been sealed usually already have a use for which they were built accordingly. For example, there is the company building, the warehouse, the production building and also the company parking lot. With photovoltaics, their function can be profitably expanded as an additional source of income or used as an autonomous power supply for your own market advantages. This is about the higher future costs for environmental protection regulations, power peaks (infrastructure and network stability) and CO2 balance.
The CO2 balance, also known as the greenhouse gas balance or CO2 footprint, will become more important in the future if there are tax and cost surcharges in the CO2 labeling of goods and services.

Unified Commerce: Well prepared for no-line commerce
In addition to smoothly functioning intralogistics with optimized storage conditions, the efficient interlinking of IT processes is an absolute prerequisite for no-line commerce, which puts the customer experience at the absolute center of all efforts by no longer making any difference between the individual sales channels, between online and offline or intermediate models. This is exactly what distinguishes No-Line from older approaches such as multi- or omnichannel, because with the No-Line solution the customer should not even notice which channel they are using to contact the retailer. To do this, identical information must be made available on all sales channels.
With no-line commerce, instead of silos in logistics, IT or marketing/sales, there is only one limitless “one”. In order to provide customers with the “ Endless Aisle ” experience, seamless integration of IT and logistics structures is required. Efficient digital processes are crucial. Because they are the ones who ensure that all products are always available to the customer across all channels and that the retailer keeps an overview. In order to capitalize on this competitive factor, retailers must ensure that all relevant information about the current inventory and the location of the individual items is available at all times - whether in the warehouse, the branch, on the way to the next touchpoint or to the customer.

Digital platforms are transforming the global economy
The global economy is booming and most companies can look forward to full order books. However, development is not as dynamic in all areas. For a few years now, companies in the IT sector in particular that have subjected their business model to digital transformation have benefited from above-average growth. They often do not have their own machines or other physical production factors, but rather draw all their strength from brokering services between suppliers and customers. Their efficient performance is based on powerful platforms through which their users exchange services with one another. First and foremost are the e-commerce giants Amazon and Alibaba, which are among the largest developers and beneficiaries of the platform economy. This has the potential to fundamentally transform the economy of tomorrow. Anyone who doesn't prepare for this risks losing touch.

Last Mile Logistics – Facts you should know - Interesting for logisticians, e-commerce and consumers
Mainly CEP services (courier, express and parcel) deal with the fulfillment of the last mile. In order for the last mile to actually occur, in addition to the middle mile, the first mile also plays an important role in the rapid shipping of items and products.
The geographical and strategic location of a company in relation to its target group and customers is also a decisive success factor in competition and market shares. If goods are not picked up on time by CEP services in the first mile, “same day delivery” concepts and similar ones are already on the brink before they have even started.
Last mile logistics is the big challenge of a successful supply chain, i.e. up to the last mile and second where the customer has his goods in his hands. But not only.
The Internet has made it possible to deliver goods from anywhere in the world to any place in the world. The higher the level of coverage of the digital and physical infrastructure, the greater the expectations of customers and providers.
