Less than two weeks after the new year, many CEOs have already earned more than the average worker takes home annually. Apple CEO Tim Cook is one such example and he just took home his biggest bonus ever. In fiscal 2018, Apple's market value temporarily exceeded $1 trillion and posted record sales and profits. That resulted in a $12 million bonus for Cook, in addition to his $3 million salary and $121 million worth of stock.
According to Bloomberg, his bonus was tied to sales and earnings targets, both of which were 16 percent higher than the previous year. Previously, Cook's biggest bonus payout came in 2017 when he took home $9.3 million.
