It could all be so nice: Anyone who buys Christmas presents no longer has to struggle through crowded shopping streets, but can order everything online with just a few clicks. But then the trouble starts for many people. Sometimes the package is damaged during transport, sometimes it arrives far too late. The market and opinion research institute YouGov asked what annoys Germans most about parcel delivery.
The biggest upset is when the package is delivered to a neighbor even though you were actually at home. One in three of those surveyed (30 percent) don't find it funny at all. The parcel carrier also causes trouble if he does not leave a notification card after a failed delivery attempt - 27 percent of those surveyed are annoyed by this, as the graphic shows. Other annoyances include poor knowledge of German and unfriendly behavior on the part of parcel deliverers, according to the results of the YouGov survey .
The parcel services are particularly busy in the run-up to Christmas. So if you want to be absolutely sure that all your Christmas presents are under the tree on time, it's better to shop in brick-and-mortar stores during this time.
