Gamescom kicks off next week. A good reason to take a look at the domestic market for digital games. According to game, the German Games Industry Association, it grew by 15 percent last year. Of the total revenue of 3.3 billion euros, 1.2 billion came from the purchase of computer and video games. Revenue from hardware (+25 percent), microtransactions (+28 percent), and subscription fees (+57 percent) saw significant growth. However, only a small portion of the industry's revenue is attributable to German games.
