Tech giants increase lobby budget

Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple (GAFA) spent a combined $54.7 million on lobbying in the USA in 2018 - an increase of around eleven percent compared to the previous year. Google has by far the largest lobbying budget at $21.2 million. In contrast, Apple has only invested $6.6 million in influencing Washington politics.
