Suspicion of theft at SMA

SMA Solar Technology AG , headquartered in Niestetal in northern Hesse, is one of the world's highest-selling and best-known manufacturers of inverters for photovoltaic systems with grid feed-in, grid-independent feed-in and backup operations.
SMA employs over 3,100 people and generated sales of 915.1 million euros last year.
It has now become known that two employees stole from the solar technology manufacturer between February and May. A criminal complaint was filed.
A 37-year-old employee from the Werr-Meißner district and a 37-year-old from Kassel are said to have stolen 240 control devices on two pallets with a total value of 170,000 euros.
The absence was discovered in the company's goods distribution center. A total of 7 people are suspected of being involved in the crime. The investigation is still ongoing. Some of the suspects have already confessed to their involvement in the crime.
