Solarwatt is a German manufacturer and provider of photovoltaic systems. It produces and sells all essential components for self-sufficiency from solar power. This includes energy generation from photovoltaic modules, energy management in the house and local storage of the solar power generated via electricity storage.

In 2014, Solarwatt brought the first photovoltaic module with general building approval (abZ) onto the market. As a veranda and carport module with 36 cells.

In 2020, Solarwatt introduced the successor model Vision 60M with an output of 305 to 320 watts. The glass-glass module is considered a regulated building product throughout Germany that can be used without restrictions in private and public areas. A separate building permit is therefore not required.

For SOLARWATT managing director Detlef Neuhaus, this once again underlines the innovative strength of the Dresden company: “Now we are once again at the forefront when it comes to building approval for a standard-sized module. The abZ for the 60-cell module now gives us access to completely new areas of application, such as industrial roofs or parking lot roofing.”

The Solarwatt module Vision 60m Construct is ideal for installation of overheads-for example in parking garages, at petrol stations and for carport or veranda roofings. The installation can be done without the additional security measures prescribed by other modules such as B. steel networks are carried out. "This not only saves project developers and installers, but also improves the aesthetic appearance," emphasizes Neuhaus. If necessary, the glass-glass module can completely replace the roof skin, which massively reduces the costs and the use of building materials when installing. In addition, due to its transparency of around ten percent, the standard PV module enables shading without fully declining.
