Solar carports: company parking spaces – sensible use of sealed areas

The demand for solar carports for company parking lots and open parking spaces is growing as the solar requirement and the sensible use of sealed areas are becoming more and more of a topic of the day.
Corporate solar carports have different installation and material requirements. While single or double carports do not require a lot of organizational or technical effort for private individuals, a parking lot of e.g. B. 75 parking spaces and more look different. When building carports, there are generally numerous pitfalls that should be avoided as much as possible. For large parks, you won't get very far with a carport from the hardware store or so-called designer carports. Solid wood or softwood is usually used as construction wood (construction wood) made from spruce, fir, larch, pine or Douglas fir.
Compared to aluminum or steel, wood is very susceptible to weathering and therefore requires regular and extensive care. For large solar park systems, only steel structures can be considered. They can sometimes last for many decades. Occasional cleaning is sufficient, they are stable and, above all, can carry large snow loads.
In addition to the correct foundation, statics and alignment of the sloping roof for the photovoltaic system, there are a few other points to consider when planning: How many charging stations are needed, what does the energy load profile look like and what are the technical connection conditions? Then the downtimes of the vehicles must also be calculated and ultimately the overall photovoltaic output must be determined.
