In the meantime, demand and interest have increased significantly. A technical and organizational sub-area of photovoltaics is developing into an independent market. In addition to open-space systems, roof solar and balcony solar , another interestingly developing market is emerging.
All newly created markets go through an almost similar development. According to the ' Blue Ocean Strategy ', many new providers followed with standard solutions. Both from the field of photovoltaics and from the classic industry of garages and terrace roofs.
The problem, however, is that not all parking spaces are the same. The number of special solutions that deviate from the standard is increasing. The reason for this is that you can actually usually work with standards for single or double solar carports. However, with larger systems the situation changes completely. Starting with the access routes through to the various exit situations. For large solar park systems, only steel structures are usually considered. They can sometimes last for many decades. Occasional cleaning is sufficient, they are stable and, above all, can carry large snow loads. Compared to aluminum or steel, wood is very susceptible to weathering and therefore requires regular and extensive care.
While the market for individual solar carport systems is well covered, this cannot easily be transferred to the market for large solar carport systems. Very few can actually offer a solution for solar carports with parking space for more than 30 vehicles. Which are also affordable and can ensure safe statics, longevity and basic stability in the event of starting/exiting accidents.
In addition to the basic components, solar modules, photovoltaic substructure and inverters, the market for solar carports also combines the segments of charging stations, electricity storage and smart grid.
Depending on the number of parking spaces and size, solar carports have different installation and material requirements. While single or double carports for private individuals do not involve a lot of organizational or technical effort, a parking space of e.g. B. 35 to 75 parking spaces and more look different. When building carports, there are generally numerous pitfalls that should be avoided as much as possible. For large parks, you won't get very far with a carport from the hardware store or so-called designer carports. Solid wood or softwood is usually used as construction wood (construction wood) made from spruce, fir, larch, pine or Douglas fir.
