With 16.8 million PCs sold in the fourth quarter of 2018, HP is just ahead of Lenovo (16.1 million). According to IDC, of around 68.1 million computers were sold worldwide. This corresponds to a decrease of 3.7 percent compared to the previous year. Acer and Apple were hit hardest. Nevertheless, the market developed better than expected. This is, for example, because many companies are currently replacing their computers due to the impending end of Windows 7 in January 2020.
