In Japan, employees are the most dissatisfied with work. According to Randstad Workmonitor , only around 42 percent of respondents confirm that they are satisfied with their job. In addition, 21 percent in the Asian island state said they were dissatisfied - the highest figure of all 34 countries in the survey.
The high level of dissatisfaction is due, among other things, to the great pressure placed on workers in Japan. The country is known worldwide for its high work ethic and highly hierarchical work culture. But improvement is in sight - new laws are intended to better protect employees in Japan from psychological and physical abuse in the workplace.
Of those surveyed in Germany, almost three quarters are satisfied with their job. In contrast, only around 9 percent answered the opposite.
