JinkoSolar Holding Co is a Chinese company based in Shanghai, founded in 2006. JinkoSolar produces and sells solar cells, solar modules and solar module mounting systems. In addition, the subsidiary JinkoPower operates its own solar parks with a nominal output of 1,006 MW (at the end of the 4th quarter of 2015). With a global market share of 7.3% and produced modules with a nominal output of 2.94 GW, JinkoSolar was the world's third largest manufacturer of crystalline solar modules in 2014.

JinkoSolar has offices in 13 different countries, including China itself, Germany, the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia.

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. is listed as one of the largest solar module manufacturers in the world. The Chinese company established its roots as a wafer manufacturer in 2006 and has consolidated itself as a distributor of solar products to utilities, residential and commercial customers in over 70 countries and regions around the world. Nonetheless, China remains JinkoSolar's largest market, even as its reach expands - particularly in the United States and emerging markets such as Chile, Thailand and India.

JinkoSolar is a member of the Silicon Module Super League (SMSL), whose other members include crystalline silicon module suppliers: Canadian Solar, First Solar, GCL-SI, Hanwha Q-CELLS, JA Solar, LONGI Solar, Risen Energy and Trina Solar. Membership in the Exclusive Group required an end-market delivery capacity of more than five gigawatts. Among SMSL members, Canadian Solar had the largest revenue in 2018. The following year, JinkoSolar exceeded that amount, reaching $4.3 billion in revenue.

JinkoSolar has a vertically integrated solar value chain and produces ingots and wafers, solar cells and solar modules. The company produces polycrystalline photovoltaic modules as well as the Eagle Black and Eagle Dual modules, which offer improved efficiencies. JinkoSolar also sells electricity within China. Its subsidiary Jinko Power focuses on the development, construction and operation of solar power plants around the world.

Demand for PV solar power is expected to stagnate in the coming years. After years of exponential growth, the imposition of import taxes and reductions in renewable energy subsidy budgets by countries like China will likely result in a less pronounced growth rate.

In 2015, JinkoSolar entered into a strategic cooperation with the American chemical company DuPont to improve the efficiency and durability of solar modules and solar cells and to develop and supply improved materials, including Dupont metallization pastes and coating materials. Both companies also plan to collaborate on marketing.

That same year, JinkoSolar's subsidiary JinkoSolar (US) Inc. entered into a collaboration agreement with American microinverter manufacturer Enphase Energy to bundle both companies' products and provide customers with access to Enphase Energy's operations and maintenance services to increase system availability make possible.

The sale of the photovoltaic project business was announced at the end of 2016.
