Instagram now has 1 billion users

A billion people now use Instagram. Kevin Systrom, co-founder and CEO of the photo app, announced this in a press release . The company has gained 200 million users since the last water level report last September. When Facebook took over Instagram in spring 2012, there were around 50 million monthly active users.
