Industry 4.0: China builds on industrial robots

IFR, are installed in Chinese industrial production every year - making the People's Republic a leader in the use of industrial robots. Although many of the manufacturing robots used worldwide are developed and produced by companies in Japan and Germany, only half as many as in China are put into operation in both countries each year. The industry in the USA also only has around 40,400 installed robots.
Since many of the major vehicle manufacturers produce in China, a large proportion of the automatic machines are used in automobile production there. Robotics is also used in the processing of electronic and metal goods. In total, experts expect around four million active robots in factories worldwide by 2022. Industrial robots are used primarily for handling heavy objects, welding work and bringing together various components.
According to IFR , around 154,000 robots are installed in Chinese industrial production every year – making the People's Republic the leader in the use of industrial robots.
