“Business is made by people”, that was Gerd Erke’s guiding principle.

I myself have always opposed this, with the clumsy statement: A concept, a strategy is not based on the people, but rather the people have to subordinate themselves to it.

I can only partially agree with this. If you don't have the people for an idea, then it's all of no use. This approach achieves nothing.

You have to win people over to a vision and work on the vision every day. Work on a strategy together with these people every day. Let them participate.
