The fastest LTE networks in Europe
If you want reliable and fast mobile surfing, you shouldn't live in Germany. With an average download rate of just 22.7 Mbps and a network coverage of 65.7 percent, the German LTE network is one of the worst performers in Europe, as a current comparison by OpenSignal shows.
In total, the compounds were examined in 36 European countries. The leader in terms of speed is the Dutch network with 42.1 Mbps, while Norway has the highest coverage at 92.2 percent. Bulgaria and Serbia also made it into the top ten, although with a comparatively low network coverage of 74 percent and 75.2 percent, as the graphic shows. Germany ranks 32nd in terms of speed and 31st in terms of availability.

LTE availability in Germany
The mobile phone network in this country is to be expanded. As Federal Infrastructure Minister Andreas Scheuer announced, half a million additional households will be supplied with 4G in the next two years.
according to the BMVI , coverage is currently at 100 or almost 100 percent, especially in the city states. Other federal states are lagging behind, especially Saarland with 93.3 percent network coverage, Brandenburg with 93.4 and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with 93.8 percent.

Summer, sun, beach and smartphone
I pack my suitcase and take with me: smartphone, tablet and laptop. According to a current survey by the industry association Bitkom, 73 percent of those surveyed use their smartphone while on vacation. Among 14 to 29 year olds, 91 percent do not want to do without the device.
