Only 5.4 percent of the revenue generated in Germany from computer and video games (excluding hardware, online network fees, and hybrid toys) comes from German productions. This is according to figures from the German Games Industry Association (game). The share has fallen by one percentage point compared to the previous year. In the online/browser games sector, the decline was even more dramatic, with a drop of seven percentage points compared to 2016. Only in the PC and console games sector did German game software companies manage to increase their market share.
