In addition to false date, the errors also included incorrect numbers and incorrect attributions of actions or statements about people or organizations. These types of errors, often referred to as “hallucinations”, represent a special challenge for AI systems, since they can sound plausible and are therefore difficult to recognize if there is no thorough human review.
