Alibaba is not yet Amazon

WHEN Alibaba presented its figures for the first quarter of 2018, we weren't really surprised. Sales at the company, often referred to as the Chinese version of Amazon, increased 61 percent to $9.9 billion compared to the same quarter last year. As impressive as the company's development is, a direct comparison with the US model shows that Alibaba is not yet Amazon.
