PwC just presented its annual Global CEO Survey at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The survey of almost 1,400 entrepreneurs gives a sense of the general business climate, which this year has been marked by a general increase in pessimism, particularly due to trade disputes and political uncertainty. A portion of the survey is also dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on the world and provides insight into business leaders' views on the topic.
The vast majority of the latter (63%) believe that the AI revolution will have an even greater impact on the world than the Internet revolution, and around one in five CEOs are very convinced of this. On the other hand, business leaders are much more divided over the impact of this technology on the labor market. In fact, 41% believe artificial intelligence will replace more jobs than it can create, and only 49% believe the opposite effect will occur.
