2019, a record year for tech IPOs?

For the current year, CB Insights counted 19 initial public offerings (IPO) by US tech companies - the same number as last year. It remains to be seen whether there will be more again in 2019. What can now be said with some certainty is that there are some really big IPOs coming our way. Above all, Uber. The still unprofitable ride sharing provider is likely to venture onto the stock exchange floor in the first quarter. According to CB Insights analysts, the company could earn up to $120 billion. Three other large tech companies, Airbnb, Pinterest and Slack, are also under concrete IPO suspicion.
