Tech brands dominate the global market. This is demonstrated once again by the new Interbrand ranking of the Best Global Brands. According to the ranking, and unsurprisingly, Apple remains the most valuable. The company with the bitten apple logo is valued at an estimated 184 billion US dollars. Google follows in second place with nearly 142 billion US dollars.
As the Statista graphic shows, the two tech giants are thus ranked very highly. Microsoft follows in third place with 80 billion US dollars. The software and hardware manufacturer thus displaced the Coca-Cola Company from third place.
Of the ten most valuable brands, seven are tech companies. Toyota and Mercedes-Benz, two automakers, also rank highly, in seventh and ninth place respectively. Tech companies also performed best in terms of value growth: Facebook increased by 48 percent compared to the previous year, Amazon by 29 percent, and Adobe by 19 percent.
