The portfolio also includes intralogistics solutions such as fleet management, automation and driver assistance systems as well as vehicle-related services. Linde MH is represented in more than 100 countries with production and assembly plants as well as a global sales and service network. Officine Meccaniche (OM for short, fully Società Anonima Officine Meccaniche) was an Italian machine and vehicle manufacturer based in Milan. Originally founded as a rail vehicle manufacturer, OM soon expanded its product range to include automobile manufacturing and became known for its robust sports cars and later also for its commercial vehicles.

From the 1930s onwards, OM also manufactured forklifts (Italian: Carrelli Elevatori), pallet trucks and other industrial trucks. This division of OM became the Fiat division Fiat OM Carrelli Elevatori in 1975. In 1992, the German Linde AG acquired an initial part of this area from Fiat and further expanded its shareholding in the following years. In 2002, FIAT OM Carrelli Elevatori was completely taken over by Linde AG. In 2006, OM Carrelli Elevatori was sold to the Kion Group.

On June 21, 2016, Kion announced the purchase of automation and supply chain optimization provider Dematic. The takeover of Dematic was completed in November 2016.
