“Business is made by people,” that was Gerd Erke’s guiding principle.

I myself have always resisted this, with the blunt statement: A concept, a strategy is not based on people, but rather people have to submit to it.

I can only partially agree. If you don't have people on board with an idea, then it's all for nothing. You won't achieve anything with this approach.

You have to win people over to a vision and work on that vision every day. Work together with these people daily on a strategy. Let them participate.
