German car manufacturers in the USA have 8% market share (USA in DE: 14.1%)

The breakdown of the US car market last year shows that German car manufacturers play a rather small role in the USA: Volkswagen, Daimler and VW had a combined market share of 8.1 percent . They were well behind the US car manufacturers General Motors (17.2 percent) and Ford (13.9 percent). The market share of US car manufacturers in the EU was 14.1 percent in 2016.
