When Alibaba presented its figures for the first quarter of 2018, we weren't particularly surprised. The company, often referred to as the Chinese version of Amazon, saw its revenue increase by 61 percent year-on-year to $9.9 billion. However impressive this growth is, a direct comparison with its US counterpart reveals that Alibaba is not yet Amazon.
