16% of companies use robots

16 percent of manufacturing companies (with at least 10 employees) use industrial or service robots. The Federal Statistical Office announced this in a press release on the Federal Government's digital summit. Accordingly, large companies with at least 250 employees rely on automation to a much greater extent than small companies with 10 to 49 employees. Industrial robots are used, for example, for welding work, laser cutting and special painting. Service robots are used for monitoring, transport and cleaning, for example.
