Die Smartphone-Bank N26 ist das erste deutsche Finanztechnologie-Unternehmen, das am Markt mit mehr als einer Milliarde US-Dollar bewertet wird. Damit zählt die Bundesrepublik jetzt zum Kreis jener Länder, in denen mindestens ein Fintech-Einhorn seinen Sitz hat. N26 hat in einer Finanzierungsrunde kürzlich die riesige Summe von 260 Millionen Euro eingesammelt – das ist der größte Betrag, den jemals ein deutsches Finanz-Startup von Investoren erhalten hat. Die Bank will in den kommenden Monaten in die USA expandieren, das Finanzspritze kommt also im richtigen Moment. Insgesamt wird N26 am Markt derzeit mit insgesamt 2,3 Milliarden Euro bewertet.
Smartphone Bank N26 is the first German financial technology company to be valued at more than one billion US dollars on the market. The Federal Republic of Germany is now one of those countries in which at least one Fintech unicorn has its headquarters. N26 recently collected the huge sum of 260 million euros in a financing round – this is the largest amount a German financial start-up has ever received from investors. The bank wants to expand into the USA in the coming months, so the financial injection comes at the right moment. N26 is currently valued on the market at a total of 2.3 billion euros.
