Kurz vor Eröffnung hat die Consumer Technology Association (CTA) einen Blick auf aktuelle und nicht mehr ganz so aktuelle „Next Big Things“ der Branche geworfen. Unter den neueren Tech-Produkten sind Smartwatches in den USA derzeit am erfolgreichsten. DIE CTA schätzt den Umsatz für das laufende Jahr auf 4,7 Milliarden US-Dollar. Bei Drohnen gehen die Analysten dagegen nur von einem sehr übersichtlichen Wachstum aus.

Important topics in this year’s edition include Artificial Intelligence, 5G, Internet of Things, Blockchain as well as Augmented and Virtual Reality. Shortly before the opening, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) took a look at current and less current „Next Big Things“ in the industry. Among the newer tech products, Smartwatches are currently the most successful in the USA. DIE CTA estimates the turnover for the current year at 4.7 billion US dollars. In the case of drones, on the other hand, analysts are only assuming very clear growth.
