Mit 16,8 Millionen verkauften PCs im vierten Quartal 2018 liegt HP knapp vor Lenovo (16,1 Millionen) zurückerobert. Insgesamt wurden laut IDC weltweit rund 68,1 Millionen Rechner verkauft. Das entspricht einem Rückgang von 3,7 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr. Am empfindlichsten hat es Acer und Apple getroffen. Trotzdem entwickelte sich der Markt besser als erwartet. Das liegt zum Beispiel daran, dass aktuell viele Unternehmens – bedingt durch das bevorstehende Ende von Windows 7 im Januar 2020 – ihre Rechner austauschen.
With 16.8 million PCs sold in the fourth quarter of 2018, HP is just ahead of Lenovo (16.1 million). According to IDC, a total of 68.1 million computers were sold worldwide. This corresponds to a decline of 3.7 percent compared to the previous year. Acer and Apple were hit the hardest. Nevertheless, the market developed better than expected.
