Yelp – it works on mobile, but not on the desktop

Yelp, Inc. is a US-American internet company that operates a recommendation portal for restaurants and businesses.

Yelp currently records an average of around 178 million unique visitors per month – a decrease of slightly more than five percent compared to the previous year. This decline is primarily due to the performance of desktop traffic; mobile traffic, however, is strong, with 34 million unique visitors via the Yelp app and 75 million via the mobile website. The review platform for local businesses and restaurants generated $241.1 million in revenue and $15 million in profit worldwide in the third quarter of 2018. The company has been operating in Germany since 2010. In October 2012, it acquired its German competitor, Qype.
