Sixty-one percent of young people in Germany (aged 14 to 24) couldn't do without WhatsApp. This is shown in the U25 study by the German Institute for Trust and Security on the Internet. The messenger app is omnipresent among those surveyed, with a usage rate of 99 percent. In contrast, Facebook is used at least occasionally by only 67 percent. That sounds like a lot, but only eight percent of respondents said they could least do without the network.
