Human communication with artificial intelligence is increasing. The proliferation of voice assistants and voice control systems in a variety of electronics has accelerated this trend. According to a survey commissioned by the Central Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry (ZVEI), such voice control applications are now used by around one in five respondents, most of them in connection with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs (64 percent).
As our infographic shows, many users also give voice commands or retrieve information to televisions (33 percent) or cars (27 percent). Voice control in digitalized homes is relatively new and, at 15 percent, still the least used. Light on!
